Ashleigh

Ashleigh was a true soul mate that enjoyed three similar things in life; her walks, her food and my bed.

Ashleigh was my first Dalmatian born on the 8th of May 1994 and passed away at the age of 12 years old in late April of 2007 of lung cancer. Being my first Dalmatian she taught me an immense degree about the breed and how to effectively train Dalmatians. My love of my first Dalmatian has led to the development of CCDalmatians.

Ashleigh was a true soul mate that enjoyed three similar things in life; her walks, her food and my bed. She was a true pack leader, who guided and protected her human and dog pack.

In 2001 Ashleigh completed the Responsible Pet Program in Victoria (run by the VCA and the Department of Natural Resources) and visited 25 primary schools. Educating children on how to prevent and react to dog attacks and how to responsibly look after and respect dogs.

Throughout her life she enjoyed her obedience training and agility. She gained her Companion Dog and Endurance Titles by the age of 5 and obtained numerous first places in her obedience trials. Winning Best in Trial at Dalmatian Club of Victorias’ Obedience trail in 1999.
