CCDalmatains are very excited to announce that Australian Champion CCDals Calvin Klein Iconic Fame (Calvin) gains his the official “Endurance Title” on the 13th of August 2017.  This title is Calvin’s third official title year to date.

Prior to commencement of the an Endurance Test, a veterinary certificate must be completed fourteen 14 days immediately prior to the date of the test and is to be submitted on the date of the test.

The Endurance Test requires a dog to run 20 kilometers and is to be completed in 2 hours and 35 minutes. The 20 Kilometre run is completed in three sections;

1. 8 km (15 minute break)
2. 6 Km (20 minute break)
3. 6 Km (15 minute break)

The objective of the “Endurance Test is to demonstrate a dog’s ability to work after being subject to a certain degrees of physical strain, without showing signs of undue stress or lack of constitution.

The Endurance Test is known to places an increasing load on a dogs internal organs, such as the heart and lungs and many other aspects of the dog’s physical structure and the dogs temperament. Due to the dog’s physical structure, a dog must travel at a suitable pace to perform the Endurance Test over a lengthy duration.

Dalmatians are bred purely, to run long distances with horses and hence have the physical structure/conformation to highly succeed in an Endurance Test. The Dalmatian must also also be very physically fit and may need to be trained to run along side a bike and/or their owner at a consistent pace.

Australian Champion CCDals Calvin Klein Iconic Fame JC ET (Calvin) was bred by CCDalmatians and is owned, shown and trained very successfully by Sophie and Anthony Awdesho Gallo.
